Talon Tally is a local-first business expense tracker. Normal expense tracking does not send your records to Talon Tally-operated servers.
1. Who we are
Raven Vector LLC builds and operates Talon Tally, this website, and the optional Talon Tally cloud services described below. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit talontally.com, contact support, use the Talon Tally app on iPhone, iPad, or Mac, or turn on an optional Premium feature.
2. What Talon Tally does not collect
Talon Tally does not collect the local expense records, marketplace sales records, local business profile details, directly scanned receipt images or OCR text, camera captures, photo imports, or export files you create during normal local app use. These stay on your device unless you share or export them, turn on iCloud sync, or use an optional Cloudflare-backed Premium feature.
Talon Tally does not use advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, product-analytics SDKs, IDFA, bank connections, contact-book uploads, geolocation collection, public-link view tracking, or payment-card collection. Stripe, not Talon Tally, collects card and bank details on its hosted pages.
3. Optional email receipt forwarding
If you turn on Premium email forwarding and send receipts or eBay CSV reports to [email protected], Cloudflare infrastructure operated for Talon Tally receives and temporarily stores the forwarded email metadata, content, attachments, and parsed import details needed to create a review candidate. Forwarded receipt files may be converted to text by the Talon Tally Cloudflare Worker using Cloudflare Workers AI.
4. Optional invoicing
If you turn on Premium invoicing, Talon Tally-operated Cloudflare systems store your invoice business identity and logo, verified Reply-To address, client names and contact and billing details, invoice content and historical snapshots, public-link state, email delivery state, reminder schedule, Stripe connected-account identifier and status, and invoice payment, refund, and dispute history. This data is linked to your Talon account so invoices work across devices and public links remain payable.
Stripe Connect hosts business onboarding and payment collection. Talon Tally stores the connected-account ID and the payment, refund, and dispute identifiers and status needed to reconcile invoices, but never a Stripe API key or a payer’s card number. Payments belong to your connected business, and Talon Tally takes no application fee. Resend delivers invoice emails from Talon Tally’s sending domain. Talon Tally sends Resend the recipient address, Reply-To address, email content, and PDF attachment, and records delivery, delay, failure, bounce, or complaint status.
PDF-only invoices you create without Stripe are stored on your device.
5. Service records
The optional cloud service also keeps the minimum session, verification, entitlement, rate-limit, idempotency, provider webhook-event, structured error, optional push-device, and renewal schedule records needed to authenticate, secure, deliver, reconcile, delete, and support those features.
6. Apple services
Premium purchases are handled by Apple StoreKit. Raven Vector receives the entitlement status needed to unlock Premium but never your payment card details. If you turn on Premium iCloud sync, Talon Tally stores a versioned sync manifest and attachment files in the private iCloud Drive container associated with your Apple Account using Apple’s iCloud Documents service. Talon Tally-operated servers do not receive or store that iCloud sync data. Apple’s terms and privacy practices apply to StoreKit and iCloud.
7. Receipt recognition and exports
Receipt text recognition for receipts scanned or imported directly in the app runs on device. Expense reports are generated locally and are shared or saved only when you choose. Invoice PDFs for Stripe-backed invoices are generated by the Talon Tally Worker from the invoice’s historical snapshot, and combined income exports are assembled locally after invoice data is loaded.
8. How we use cloud data
Cloud data is used only to authenticate Premium features, verify senders, process imports, operate invoices and public links, send optional alerts and reminders, create and reconcile payments, generate exports, prevent abuse, delete accounts, provide support, and keep the service reliable.
9. Sharing
Raven Vector does not sell personal information, share it with data brokers, or use it for tracking or advertising. Information is processed by the service providers that operate the features you choose: Apple for StoreKit and iCloud, Cloudflare for optional Talon Tally cloud features, Stripe and Resend for invoicing, and Netlify for this website. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, Raven Vector, or the public.
10. Retention
Local data remains on your device unless you delete it or turn on an optional cloud feature. Private iCloud Drive sync files are managed through your Apple Account and stay outside Talon Tally-operated systems. Forwarded receipt data is temporary and is deleted or scrubbed after review, account deletion, or retention expiry. Invoice and payment records remain until you delete the Talon cloud account, because issued invoices are historical business records and outstanding links must remain payable. Automatic reminder data stops when reminders are disabled or the invoice is paid, voided, bounced, complained about, or deleted.
11. Your choices
You can keep using local expense and marketplace sales features without iCloud, email forwarding, or invoicing. You can turn off iCloud sync in Settings without losing local data. You can export invoice payments and receivables, rotate a public link, disable reminders, disconnect through Stripe, and delete the Talon cloud account from Settings > Premium Email Imports > Delete Talon Cloud Account.
Export first: deletion revokes public links and removes Talon Tally’s invoice, client, and payment data and invoice logos, but it does not delete records independently retained by Stripe, Resend, Apple, or email providers under their own policies. Deleting a Talon cloud account does not cancel an Apple Premium subscription. Manage or cancel it in App Store Subscriptions.
12. Website and support
This static website has no account system, forms, advertising, analytics, or tracking pixels, and it does not set application cookies. Netlify may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser details, requested URL, timestamps, and security logs as needed to deliver and protect the website.
If you email support, Raven Vector receives your email address and whatever you choose to include. Please do not send passwords, full payment card numbers, or unnecessary receipt details in a support request.
13. Security
Raven Vector uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls, sender verification, private cloud storage, rate limits, and retention controls. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
14. Children
Talon Tally is a business recordkeeping app and is not directed to children under 13.
15. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Talon Tally, the website, or an optional service changes. The updated policy will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
